Financial Controller
Job description
Sonomo is seeking an experienced and motivated Financial Controller to take complete ownership of our operational financial matters. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial integrity and supporting strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the company’s general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Managing tax reporting and liaising with authorities (Belastingdienst) to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Monitoring and analyzing platform KPIs to drive performance improvements.
- Producing a comprehensive monthly investor reporting package, providing insights and transparency.
- Assisting with legal and compliance-related matters to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Supporting strategic decision-making and finance initiatives to drive company growth and efficiency.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years of experience in an audit/accounting function at a Big4 or other leading firm, or equivalent experience as a Financial Controller at another company.
- Proficiency in Excel, with experience in database querying considered a plus.
- Highly analytical with a solid understanding of capital markets.
- Fluency in both Dutch and English is essential.
